Simply put, meditation is a practice where we consciously and intentionally place our focus and attention on our thoughts, emotions and internal “world”. It aims to help you become aware of your subconscious and unconscious thoughts, beliefs and feelings. When you sit down, close your eyes and put some music on, you disconnect from your external world so you can become the observer of your inner state of being. That`s all.
I often hear people say “I can`t meditate”
What if I told you that you meditate several times a day? You would not believe me, right? It is a common misconception that you only “meditate” when you consciously sit down cross-legged and focus on your breath or thoughts.
Every moment you get lost in your thoughts or inner world, you are in a light meditative state. You slowed down your brain waves and put your attention on an idea in your mind. You focus on that thought so much that you forget about your external environment and yourself and the thought itself becomes an experience. A typical example is when you are driving to work, and suddenly you are at work, but you can`t quite remember the journey.
Meditation is a tool we use to train ourselves to consciously slow our brain wave patterns down so we can access the subconscious mind where all our thoughts, beliefs, patterned behaviours and emotional reactions reside. Once we can access our subconscious mind with our conscious mind and become aware of what story we are telling about ourselves and our life, then we can start making changes to our “operating system”.
Next question I often get asked is – I am a beginner, how do you meditate? Where do I start?
Breath work is a tool for significant transformation and healing. It integrates insights from modern consciousness research, neuroscience and quantum physics, various depth psychologies, transpersonal psychology, Eastern spiritual practices, and mystical traditions of the world. It is a powerful healing process and a well-established method used worldwide to generate altered states of consciousness or expanded states of awareness. It is safe and can lead to healing, growth, positive transformation, profound insights and relief from mental, physical, and/or emotional tension. This is achieved by using connected circular breaths and carefully selected evocative, dynamic music to take you on powerful journeys deep into your consciousness.
Who is this breath work for?
-Anyone and everyone who is seeking to transform their lives or wishes to gain more clarity about their purpose
– Ready to break the old patterns, habits and behaviours that keep you chained to the past
– Have the desire to explore and unlock your true potential and go beyond your limits
The process of meditation is simple. Once you develop a regular meditation routine, even if it is just a few minutes a day, the benefits of this mindfulness practice can make a huge difference in your life. In the beginning, it may feel challenging at times to keep up with your meditations, or you may it is harder to find the present moment at times. However, keep going and pushing yourself beyond your limit. Every time we learn something new, it takes a bit of practice before it becomes easier to stay focused, so remember to be patient and gentle with yourself. Remember, there is no such thing as a bad meditation. You are simply overcoming yourself.
So let`s take a look at the basics:
During the session, I will be playing some carefully selected, powerful, empowering and other types of music that can help you quiet the thinking mind and the inner chatter and gain access to your inner intelligence.
Location
Choose a comfortable location where you will not be disturbed or interrupted during your session. You can sit in a chair or lie on a yoga mat, but please ensure you leave space around your body. An arm-length in each direction should be sufficient enough. It is also recommended to wear loose clothes that allow you to move around if you wish.
Intention
Set your intention for the session – Do you want to find an answer to a particular question or are you looking for a solution to some problem or you have a mystical, new and unknown experience? Whatever it is that you are after, simply tune into the frequency of that thought/intention for a minute or two and then let it go with gratitude and love.
No food prior to the session
It is recommended not to consume any food 2 hours prior to the session. However, if you do need to eat something we recommend to have just a very light meal. A full stomach can make it difficult to do breathwork.
Accessories
Headphones – Ideally it is best to use wired headphones to make sure you won`t have any issues with the sound but you can also use bluetooth ones as well. If none of them is available then the computer speaker should be sufficient enough too. But do make sure you have the music on the louder end of the scale. It is important to feel fully surrounded or consumed by the music.
Blindfolds – I strongly recommend you using blindfolds as it will assist you to turn all your attention and energy inwards. However, if you don`t have one yet, it is fine to just close your eyes but for future session I would definitely recommend you investing into a blindfold.
Wi-Fi – Strong stable internet connection is very important. Therefore I wouldn`t recommend using mobile internet or data services. Connect to a fast Wi-Fi network if it is possible.
Integration
During the session, you can experience a wide range of physical sensations and different forms of release, such as crying; thus, I would also recommend having tissues, a blanket and some water beside you.
Journaling
To assist you with the integration process, besides sharing your experiences with the group, it can be beneficial for you to start journaling. Sometimes we receive some insights after the session, so having a journal will help you better understand your journey. If you are more of an artistic person, it is also a good practice to draw or paint.

Yes, you can attend this type of breathwork. However, please ensure your inhaler is within reach in case you need it.
Currently, we do not allow pregnant individuals to attend our sessions. There haven`t been enough studies on the impact of breathwork on the fetus and the physiology of a pregnant woman.
The first benefit of breathwork is that the innate wisdom of your breath and life force knows exactly where to go for the level of healing that is available for you at any given time. As the breath opens meridians and channels and aligns your body with its inherent and Universal energy, healing happens. There is no need to think, process, or figure anything out after a session. To know you can receive clarity and peace without thinking is revelatory.
In a breathwork session, you do not need to imbibe an external substance, so there is an inner empowerment that comes from you. Your breath can become the source of answers to questions, insights to challenges, freedom from feeling stuck, and downloads to what’s next for you, your life, and your work in the world.
Breathwork supports so many of the challenges everyone experiences. It reduces stress, creates feelings of openness, love, peace, gratitude, clarity, communication, and connection. Breathwork also helps release trauma or mental, physical, and emotional blocks, as well as anxiety, depression, fear, grief, and anger. Last, it can help people receive insights from ancestors and loved ones who have transitioned, as well as downloads about work, creativity, finances, relationships, or health conditions.

You’ll relax and use what is known as conscious connected circular breathing. This is where your breaths are continuous with no spaces or retention between breaths.
During this time you may have an emotional release thought to be triggered by subconscious feelings and thoughts. Bringing the adverse aspects of past trauma to the surface to be let go of is thought to bring about inner peace and a higher level of consciousness.
Unlike meditation, where we are aware of our mental chatter, breathwork allows us to disconnect from the mind and reconnect with our body and energy. From this elevated state of awareness, we are able to heal, grow, and expand.
